Volkswagen Phaeton

In 2002, Volkswagen presented a luxurious limousine called the Phaeton. This vehicle, 5055 millimeters in length, in every aspect presents top quality standards and state-of-the-art technical solutions, offering, among others, pneumatic suspension with changeable dumping and clearance adjustment. At first some of the versions of this vehicle had only front-wheel drive, but since mid-2004 all versions have been conventionally provided with the 4Motion system and an automatic gearbox. In the basic version, the car is driven by a 3.2-liter V6 engine of 241 hp. In the more expensive versions, the following engines are mounted: the 4.2-liter 335 hp V8 plant known from Audi, a powerful 6.0-liter 420 hp W12 unit, or diesel units: a new 3.0-liter 225 hp V6 TDI plant, or a 5.0-liter 313 hp V10 TDI engine. For those who find the standard version too poorly equipped, since the fall of 2003 a version with a 12- centimeter greater wheelbase has been available.
